Hadith of the grandfather of ‘Ikrimah ibn Khalid al-Makhzumi (RA)

حديث جد عكرمة بن خالد المخزومي

Hadith 63:0

It was narrated from the grandfather of ‘Ikrimah ibn Khalid al-Makhzumi that he said: I was sitting with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and a man came to him and said: "O Messenger of Allah, what is the most beloved of deeds to Allah?" He (ﷺ) said: "Faith in Allah, then maintaining ties of kinship, then enjoining good and forbidding evil." He said: "O Messenger of Allah, what is the most hateful of deeds to Allah?" He (ﷺ) said: "Associating partners with Allah (shirk), then severing ties of kinship, then enjoining evil and forbidding good."
