Hadith of Hakim ibn Mu'awiyah al-Bahzi, from his father, Mu'awiyah ibn Haydah (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)
حديث حكيم بن معاوية البهزي، عن أبيه معاوية بن حيدة (1) ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 791:3
Yazid narrated to us, Shu'bah informed us, from Abu Qaza'ah, from Hakim ibn Mu'awiyah, from his father, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), that a man asked him: "What is the right of the wife over the husband?" He said: "That you feed her when you eat, and you clothe her when you clothe yourself, and do not strike the face, and do not revile, and do not forsake except within the house."
حدثنا يزيد، أخبرنا شعبة، عن أبي قزعة، عن حكيم بن معاوية، عن أبيه، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: سأله رجل ما حق المرأة على الزوج؟ قال: " تطعمها إذا طعمت، وتكسوها إذا اكتسيت، ولا تضرب الوجه، ولا تقبح، ولا تهجر إلا في البيت "
