Hadith of Ibn al-Rusaym, from his father
Hadith 233:1
Abdullah narrated to us—[Abdullah ibn Ahmad said] and I heard it myself from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Shaybah—he said: Abd al-Rahim ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from Yahya ibn al-Harith al-Taymi, from Yahya ibn Ghassan al-Taymi, from Ibn al-Rusaym, from his father, that he said: We arrived as a delegation to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he forbade us from the vessels. He said: Then we came to him and said: "Our land is a land of pestilence." He said: So he said: "Drink in whatever you wish. Whoever wishes, let him tie his waterskin, upon sin."
