Hadith of Ka'b ibn Murrah al-Sulami or Murrah ibn Ka'b

حديث كعب بن مرة السلمي أو مرة بن كعب

Hadith 612:0

It was narrated from Ka’b ibn Murrah al-Sulami (or Murrah ibn Ka’b) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever grows old in Islam, he has a light in Islam on the Day of Resurrection." He said: And he mentioned a word that I forgot. He said: "And whoever reaches the age of forty, Allah protects him from the four types of afflictions: from madness, from leprosy, from vitiligo, and from paralysis." He said: "And whoever reaches the age of fifty, Allah makes his reckoning easy." He said: "And whoever reaches the age of sixty, Allah grants him repentance before he dies." He said: "And whoever reaches the age of seventy, the inhabitants of the heavens love him." He said: "And whoever reaches the age of eighty, Allah writes his good deeds and overlooks his evil deeds." He said: "And whoever reaches the age of ninety, Allah forgives him his past and future sins, and he is the intercessor for his family, and he is the prisoner of Allah on His earth."
