Hadith 705:0
Narrated to us by Yahya ibn Sa’id, from Hisham, who said: My father narrated to me, from Khalid al-‘Adwani, who said: I came to the Prophet (ﷺ) while he was performing ablution, and I saw the people rushing to take the water he had used for ablution. I said to them, "What is this? What is this?" They said, "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)." I said, "Peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah." He replied, "And upon you be peace, and the mercy of Allah." I said, "O Messenger of Allah, tell me about the water that is permissible for me to use for purification, and what is not permissible for me." He said, "Do you see that skin?" I said, "Yes." He said, "If you were to pass by it, and it had become a water skin, would you use it?" I said, "Yes." He said, "Then do not ask about anything after this."
