Hadith 432:2

Rawh narrated to us, Malik narrated to us, from Ibn Shihab, from Abu Umamah ibn Sahl, from Abdullah ibn Abbas and Khalid ibn al-Walid: That they entered the house of Maymunah with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. A roasted lizard was brought, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, reached out toward it. Some of the women said: "Inform the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, of what he intends to eat." They said: "It is a lizard, O Messenger of Allah." So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, withdrew his hand. I said: "Is it forbidden, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "No, but it was not in the land of my people, so I find that I dislike it." Khalid said: "So I pulled it toward me and ate it, while the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was looking."

حدثنا روح، حدثنا مالك، عن ابن شهاب، عن أبي أمامة بن سهل، عن عبد الله بن عباس، وخالد بن الوليد: أنهما دخلا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بيت ميمونة، فأتي بضب محنوذ، فأهوى إليه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال بعض النسوة: أخبروا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ما يريد أن يأكل، فقال: هو ضب يا رسول الله. فرفع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يده، فقلت: أحرام هو يا رسول الله؟ قال: " لا، ولكن لم يكن بأرض قومي، فأجدني أعافه ". قال خالد: فاجتررته فأكلته، ورسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ينظر
