Hadith 996:2
Hajjaj narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Jami' ibn Shaddad, who said: I heard Abdullah ibn Yasar say: I was sitting with Sulayman ibn Surad and Khalid ibn 'Arfatah. He said: They mentioned a man who died of a stomach ailment. He said: It was as if they both desired to pray over him. One of them said to the other: Did the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, not say: "Whoever is killed by his stomach, he will not be punished in his grave"? The other said: Yes. *** Abdullah ibn Muhammad narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Bishr narrated to us, Zakariya ibn Abi Za'idah narrated to us, Khalid ibn Salamah narrated to us, Muslim narrated to us, he said: Abdullah, and I heard from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Shaybah, the freed slave of Khalid ibn 'Arfatah: That Khalid ibn 'Arfatah said to al-Mukhtar: This is a lying man, and I heard the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, say: "Whoever lies about me intentionally, let him take his seat in Hell."
حدثنا حجاج، حدثنا شعبة، عن جامع بن شداد قال: سمعت عبد الله بن يسار قال: كنت جالسا مع سليمان بن صرد وخالد بن عرفطة قال: فذكروا رجلا مات من بطنه قال: فكأنما اشتهيا أن يصليا عليه قال: فقال: أحدهما للآخر: ألم يقل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: " من قتله بطنه، فإنه لن يعذب في قبره "؟ قال الآخر: بلى * 22501 - حدثنا عبد الله بن محمد، حدثنا محمد بن بشر، حدثنا زكريا بن أبي زائدة، حدثنا خالد بن سلمة، حدثنا مسلم قال: عبد الله وسمعت أنا من عبد الله بن محمد بن أبي شيبة مولى خالد بن عرفطة: أن خالد بن عرفطة قال للمختار: هذا رجل كذاب، ولقد سمعت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " من كذب علي متعمدا فليتبوأ مقعده من جهنم "
