Musnad Ahmad 1252:1

Husayn ibn Muhammad narrated to us, he said: Jarir—meaning Ibn Hazim—narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Sa’id, from Yuhannis, that when Hamza ibn ‘Abd al-Muttalib arrived in Medina, he married Khawla bint Qays ibn Qahd al-Ansariyya, from the Banu al-Najjar. He said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, used to visit Hamza in her house, and she would narrate to him—peace and blessings of Allah be upon him—some narrations. She said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, came to us one day, and I said: "O Messenger of Allah, it has reached me from you that you say that you have a cistern on the Day of Resurrection, the distance between such and such." He said: "Yes, and the most beloved of people to me to drink from it are your people." She said: So I brought him a pot containing bread—or *khazira* (a dish made of flour and meat)—and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, placed his hand into the pot to eat, and his fingers were burned, so he said: "Huss (an expression of pain)." Then he said: "The son of Adam, if cold touches him, he says: 'Huss,' and if heat touches him, he says: 'Huss.'"
