Hadith 734:1
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Abu Mas'ud—meaning al-Jurayri—from Yazid ibn 'Abd Allah ibn al-Shikhkhir, from Ma'iz, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, that he was asked: "Which deeds are best?" He said: "Faith in Allah alone, then Jihad, then an accepted Hajj that excels all other deeds, as the distance between the rising place of the sun and its setting place."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر، حدثنا شعبة، عن أبي مسعود يعني الجريري، عن يزيد بن عبد الله بن الشخير، عن ماعز، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أنه سئل أي الأعمال أفضل؟ قال: " إيمان بالله وحده، ثم الجهاد، ثم حجة برة تفضل سائر العمل كما بين مطلع الشمس إلى مغربها "،
