Musnad Ahmad 1094:2

Hashim narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Dhi'b, from al-Zuhri, from Abu Salamah, from Mu'awiyah ibn al-Hakam al-Sulami, who said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, there are things we used to do during the Jahiliyyah; we used to go to the soothsayers." The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Do not go to the soothsayers." He said: "And we used to practice augury (tatiyyur)." He said: "That is something one of you finds in his own self, so let it not turn you away."
