Hadith 1062:1
Waki’ narrated to us, al-Dastawa’i narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, from Abu Salamah, from Mu’ayqib, who said: The wiping [of the ground] in the mosque—meaning the pebbles—was mentioned to the Prophet (ﷺ), and he said: "If you must do it, then [do it] once."
حدثنا وكيع، حدثنا الدستوائي، عن يحيى بن أبي كثير، عن أبي سلمة، عن معيقيب، قال: ذكر للنبي المسح في المسجد، يعني الحصى، فقال: " إن كنت لا بد فاعلا فواحدة "
