Hadith 228:2
Hajjaj narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj said: 'Amr ibn Dinar informed me, from Hisham ibn Yahya, that he informed him that 'Ikrimah ibn Salamah ibn Rabi'ah informed him, that two brothers from Banu al-Mughirah [were involved in a dispute], one of them swore an oath that the other would not insert wood into his wall. They met Majma' ibn Yazid al-Ansari and many men, and they said: "We bear witness that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'A neighbor shall not prevent his neighbor from inserting wood into his wall.'" The one who had sworn the oath said: "O my brother, I know that you have a judgment against me, and I have sworn an oath, so place a pillar in front of my wall." The other did so, and he inserted the wood into the pillar. 'Amr said to me: "So I looked at that."
حدثنا حجاج، قال ابن جريج: أخبرني عمرو بن دينار، عن هشام بن يحيى، أخبره أن عكرمة بن سلمة بن ربيعة أخبره، أن أخوين من بني المغيرة، أعتق أحدهما أن لا يغرز الآخر خشبا في جداره، فلقيا مجمع بن يزيد الأنصاري، ورجالا كثيرا، فقالوا: نشهد أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " لا يمنع جار جاره أن يغرز خشبا في جداره " فقال الحالف: أي أخي قد علمت أنك مقضي لك علي، وقد حلفت فاجعل أسطوانا دون جداري، ففعل الآخر، فغرز في الأسطوان خشبة، فقال لي عمرو: فأنا نظرت إلى ذلك
