Rawh narrated to us, 'Awf narrated to us, from Hayyan Abu al-'Ala', from Qatan ibn Qabisah, from Qabisah ibn al-Mukhariq, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) who said: "Indeed, al-'iyafah (divination by birds), at-tiyarah (augury/superstition), and at-tarq (divination by lines in the sand) are from al-jibt (sorcery/idolatry)."
