Musnad Ahmad 292:2

Hajjaj narrated to us, he said: Ibn Jurayj narrated to me, he said: Sulayman ibn Musa said: Zubayd informed me, that Abu Sa’id al-Khudri came to his family and found a bowl of dried meat from the sacrificial animals (Adha). He refused to eat it, so he went to Qatadah ibn al-Nu’man and informed him that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, stood and said: "I had commanded you not to eat the sacrificial meat beyond three days so that it would suffice you, but I now permit it for you, so eat from it as you wish. Do not sell the meat of the sacrificial offerings (Hady) and the sacrifices (Adha); rather, eat, give in charity, and make use of their hides, but do not sell them. And if you feed others from their meat, then eat if you wish." And he said in this hadith, on the authority of Abu Sa’id, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him: "So now, eat, trade, and store."
