Hadith 179:0
Narrated to us by Yahya ibn Sa’id, from Hisham, who said: My father narrated to me, from Rafi’ ibn Khadij, that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade the renting of land. Rafi’ said: We used to rent out land for what grew on the watercourses or for a portion of the crop. The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade us from that, and he commanded us to rent it out for gold or silver.
