Hadith 179:2
Yazid narrated to us, he said: Yahya informed us, from Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Habban, from Rafi' ibn Khadij, he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying: "There is no cutting [as a prescribed punishment for theft] for fruit, nor for the *kathar* (the spadix of a palm tree)."
