Musnad Ahmad 1185:0

Narrated to us by Yahya ibn Sa’id, from Hisham, who said: My father narrated to me, from Ra’itah bint Sufyan, from ‘Aishah bint Qudamah ibn Maz’un, that she said: I asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): "O Messenger of Allah, I have orphans under my care. Am I permitted to spend from their wealth?" He replied: "Yes, without being extravagant, nor wasteful, nor taking it for yourself, nor hoarding it for your own wealth."
