Musnad Ahmad 1185:1

Ibrahim ibn Abi al-Abbas and Yunus—the meaning being the same—said: Abd al-Rahman, meaning Ibn Uthman ibn Ibrahim ibn Muhammad ibn Hatib, narrated to us, saying: My father narrated to me, from his mother, Aisha bint Qudamah, who said: I was with my mother, Ra’itah bint Sufyan al-Khuza’iyyah, while the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was taking the pledge of allegiance from the women. He said: "I take your pledge that you will not associate anything with Allah, nor steal, nor commit adultery, nor kill your children, nor bring forth a slander that you fabricate between your hands and your feet, nor disobey in what is good." She said: They lowered their heads. The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said to them: "Say: 'Yes, as much as you are able.'" So they would say it, and I would say it with them, and my mother would prompt me, saying: "Say, O my daughter: 'Yes, as much as I am able.'" So I would say as they said.
