Hadith of Rifa‘ah bin ‘Arrabah al-Juhani (RA)

حديث رفاعة بن عرابة الجهني

Hadith 293:0

Narrated to us by Yahya ibn Sa’id, from Muhammad ibn ‘Amr, from Abu Salamah, from Rifa’ah ibn ‘Araba al-Juhani, who said: I was with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) when we reached a place called al-Kadid, or Qadid. He stood up and delivered a sermon, and he praised Allah and extolled Him, then he said: "What is the matter with people who do such and such? What is the matter with people who do such and such?" He mentioned the people of some tribes, and it was as if he was rebuking them. He said: "I do not see that Allah will forgive them." Then he said: "What is the matter with people who do such and such? What is the matter with people who do such and such?" He mentioned other tribes, and he said: "I hope that Allah will forgive them."
