Hadith 1106:3
'Affan narrated to us, Hammad bin Zayd narrated to us, from 'Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Shumaylah, a man narrated to me, from Sa'id al-Sarraf—or he is Sa'id al-Sarraf—from Ishaq bin Sa'd bin 'Ubadah, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Verily, this tribe of the Ansar is a trial; loving them is faith, and hating them is hypocrisy." 'Affan said: He narrated it to me once, and there is no doubt in it; he dictated it to me initially with accuracy.
حدثنا عفان، حدثنا حماد بن زيد، عن عبد الرحمن بن أبي شميلة، حدثني رجل، عن سعيد الصراف، أو هو سعيد الصراف، عن إسحاق بن سعد بن عبادة، عن أبيه، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " إن هذا الحي من الأنصار محنة، حبهم إيمان وبغضهم نفاق "، قال عفان: وقد حدثنا به مرة وليس فيه شك، أمله علي أولا على الصحة
