Hadith 154:2
Ya'qub narrated to us, my father narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq, who said: Muhammad ibn Muslim ibn Ubayd Allah al-Zuhri narrated to me, from al-Sa'ib ibn Yazid, the nephew of Namir, who said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, had no more than one mu'adhdhin for all the prayers, on Friday and otherwise; he would give the adhan and the iqamah." He said: "Bilal would give the adhan when the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, sat on the pulpit on Friday, and he would give the iqamah when he descended." And [this continued] for Abu Bakr and Umar, until it was the time of Uthman. *** 15717 - Harun ibn Ma'ruf narrated to us, Abdullah said: And I heard it myself from Harun, he said: Ibn Wahb informed us, he said: Abdullah ibn al-Aswad al-Qurashi narrated to me, that Yazid ibn Khusayfah narrated to him, from al-Sa'ib ibn Yazid, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "My nation will remain upon the fitrah as long as they pray the Maghrib prayer before the stars appear."
حدثنا يعقوب، حدثنا أبي، عن ابن إسحاق، قال: حدثني محمد بن مسلم بن عبيد الله الزهري، عن السائب بن يزيد ابن أخت نمر، قال: " لم يكن لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، إلا مؤذن واحد في الصلوات كلها في الجمعة، وغيرها يؤذن ويقيم، قال: كان بلال يؤذن إذا جلس رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم على المنبر يوم الجمعة، ويقيم إذا نزل "، ولأبي بكر، وعمر، حتى كان عثمان * 15717 - حدثنا هارون بن معروف، قال عبد الله: وسمعته أنا من هارون، قال: أخبرنا ابن وهب، قال: حدثني عبد الله بن الأسود القرشي، أن يزيد بن خصيفة حدثه، عن السائب بن يزيد، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " لا تزال أمتي على الفطرة ما صلوا المغرب، قبل طلوع النجوم "
