Hadith 564:1
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, he said: Hisham narrated to us, from Hafsa, from al-Rabab al-Dabiyya, from Salman ibn Amir al-Dabbi, that he said: "If one of you breaks his fast, let him break it with dates, for if he does not find any, let him break it with water, for water is purifying." Hisham said: And 'Asim al-Ahwal narrated to me that Hafsa attributed it to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر، قال: حدثنا هشام، عن حفصة، عن الرباب الضبية، عن سلمان بن عامر الضبي، أنه قال: " إذا أفطر أحدكم فليفطر على تمر، فإن لم يجد فليفطر على الماء، فإن الماء طهور " قال: هشام، وحدثني عاصم الأحول، أن حفصة رفعته إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
