Hadith 425:1
Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, he said: Isra'il ibn Yunus ibn Abi Ishaq informed us, he said: Ibrahim ibn 'Abd al-A'la narrated to us, from his grandmother, from her father Suwayd ibn Hanzalah, he said: We went out intending to go to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and Wa'il ibn Hujr was with us. An enemy of his seized him, and the people were hesitant to swear [an oath to save him], but I swore that he was my brother, so he released him. We came to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and I mentioned that to him. He said: "You were the most righteous of them and the most truthful of them. You spoke the truth; the Muslim is the brother of the Muslim."
حدثنا يزيد بن هارون، قال: أخبرنا إسرائيل بن يونس بن أبي إسحاق، قال: حدثنا إبراهيم بن عبد الأعلى، عن جدته، عن أبيها سويد بن حنظلة، قال: خرجنا نريد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، ومعنا وائل بن حجر، فأخذه عدو له، فتحرج الناس أن يحلفوا، وحلفت: أنه أخي، فخلى عنه، فأتينا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فذكرت ذلك له، فقال: " أنت كنت أبرهم وأصدقهم، صدقت المسلم أخو المسلم "
