Hadith 684:1
Waki’ narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Makhariq ibn ‘Abdullah al-Ahmasi, from Tariq, that al-Miqdad said to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) on the day of Badr: "O Messenger of Allah, we do not say to you as the Children of Israel said to Moses: 'Go, you and your Lord, and fight; we are sitting right here.' Rather, go, you and your Lord, and fight; we are fighting alongside you."
حدثنا وكيع، حدثنا سفيان، عن مخارق بن عبد الله الأحمسي، عن طارق، أن المقداد قال لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يوم بدر: " يا رسول الله، إنا لا نقول لك كما قالت بنو إسرائيل لموسى: {اذهب أنت وربك فقاتلا إنا هاهنا قاعدون} ، ولكن اذهب أنت وربك فقاتلا، إنا معكم مقاتلون "
