ومن حديث أم هانئ بنت أبي طالب
Hadith 1272:0
### From the Hadith of Umm Hani bint Abi Talib Narrated to us Muhammad ibn Ja’far, narrated to us Shu’bah, from Abu Ishaq, who said: I heard Hani ibn Hani narrating from Ali, from the Prophet (ﷺ), that he used to say when he finished his prayer: "O Allah, forgive me what I have sent forth and what I have delayed, and what I have kept secret and what I have made public, and what I have exceeded in, and what You know better than I do. You are the One who brings forward and You are the One who delays; there is no god but You." And narrated to us Yahya ibn Sa’id, from Shu’bah, from Abu Ishaq, from Hani ibn Hani, from Ali, from the Prophet (ﷺ), a similar narration. And narrated to us Waki’, narrated to us Sufyan, from Abu Ishaq, from Hani ibn Hani, from Ali, from the Prophet (ﷺ), that he used to say when he stood for prayer: "I have turned my face toward Him who created the heavens and the earth, inclining toward the truth, and I am not of the polytheists. Indeed, my prayer, my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds. No partner has He, and with this I have been commanded, and I am of the Muslims. O Allah, You are the King, there is no god but You. You are my Lord and I am Your servant. I have wronged my soul and I have confessed my sin, so forgive me all my sins, for none forgives sins except You. And guide me to the best of characters, for none guides to the best of them except You. And turn away from me the evil of them, for none turns away the evil of them except You. Here I am, at Your service and ready to obey, and all good is in Your hands, and evil is not attributed to You. I am from You and toward You. Blessed are You and exalted. I seek Your forgiveness and repent to You." And when he bowed, he would say: "O Allah, to You I have bowed, and in You I have believed, and to You I have submitted. My hearing, my sight, my brain, my bones, and my sinews have humbled themselves before You." And when he prostrated, he would say: "O Allah, to You I have prostrated, and in You I have believed, and to You I have submitted. My face has prostrated to the One who created it and fashioned it, and brought forth its hearing and its sight. Blessed is Allah, the best of creators." And when he finished his prayer and said the taslim, he would say: "O Allah, forgive me what I have sent forth and what I have delayed, and what I have kept secret and what I have made public, and what I have exceeded in, and what You know better than I do. You are the One who brings forward and You are the One who delays; there is no god but You."
