Hadith of Umm Haram bint Milhan (RA)

حديث أم حرام بنت ملحان

Hadith 1176:0

Narrated to us by Yahya ibn Sa’id, from Thawr ibn Yazid, he said: Narrated to me Khalid ibn Ma’dan, that ‘Umayr ibn al-Aswad al-‘Anasi narrated to him, that he went to ‘Ubadah ibn al-Samit while he was staying in his house in the coastal area of Hims, along with Umm Haram. ‘Umayr said: Umm Haram narrated to us, saying: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) visited us and we provided him with food. Then he sat down and slept, then he woke up laughing. I said: "O Messenger of Allah, what makes you laugh?" He said: "A group of my Ummah were shown to me in a dream, sailing upon the green sea like kings upon thrones." I said: "O Messenger of Allah, supplicate to Allah that He makes me one of them." So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) supplicated for her. Then he laid his head down again and slept, then he woke up laughing. I said: "O Messenger of Allah, what makes you laugh?" He said: "A group of my Ummah were shown to me in a dream, sailing upon the green sea like kings upon thrones." I said: "O Messenger of Allah, supplicate to Allah that He makes me one of them." He said: "You are among the first ones." Umm Haram then went out with her husband, ‘Ubadah ibn al-Samit, to the military expedition. When they returned from their expedition, they reached the coast of Syria. A mule was brought to her, and she mounted it. It threw her off, and she broke her neck and died.
