Hadith 1212:1
Ya'la ibn 'Ubayd narrated to us, he said: Al-A'mash narrated to us, from Ja'far ibn 'Abd al-Rahman al-Ansari, from Umm Tariq, the freed slave of Sa'd, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, came to Sa'd and asked for permission to enter. Sa'd remained silent. Then he repeated [the request], and Sa'd remained silent. Then he repeated [the request], and Sa'd remained silent. So the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, turned away. She said: Sa'd sent me to him [saying]: "Nothing prevented us from giving you permission except that we wanted you to increase [your visits] to us." She said: Then I heard a voice at the door asking for permission, and I did not see anything. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Who are you?" She said: "Umm Mildam." He said: "No welcome to you, and no greeting. Are you going to the people of Quba?" She said: "Yes." He said: "Then go to them."
حدثنا يعلى بن عبيد، قال: حدثنا الأعمش، عن جعفر بن عبد الرحمن الأنصاري، عن أم طارق مولاة سعد قالت: جاء النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم إلى سعد فاستأذن، فسكت سعد، ثم أعاد فسكت سعد، ثم عاد فسكت سعد، فانصرف النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قالت: فأرسلني إليه سعد: أنه لم يمنعنا أن نأذن لك إلا أنا أردنا أن تزيدنا، قالت: فسمعت صوتا على الباب يستأذن ولا أرى شيئا فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " من أنت؟ "، قالت: أم ملدم، قال: " لا مرحبا بك، ولا أهلا، أتهدين إلى أهل قباء؟ "، قالت: نعم، قال: " فاذهبي إليهم " .................................
