Hadith 451:2
Hashim narrated to us, he said: Sulayman narrated to us, from Humayd ibn Hilal, from Bishr ibn 'Asim, he said: 'Uqbah ibn Malik al-Laythi narrated to us, he said: While the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was delivering a sermon, a speaker said: "O Messenger of Allah, by Allah, he did not say what he said except to seek refuge from being killed" — then he mentioned his story. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) turned toward him, and displeasure was recognizable on his face. Then he said: "Indeed, Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, has refused for me the killing of a believer." He said it three times.
حدثنا هاشم، قال: حدثنا سليمان، عن حميد بن هلال، عن بشر بن عاصم، قال: حدثنا عقبة بن مالك الليثي، قال: بينما رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، يخطب إذ قال القائل: يا رسول الله ، والله ما قال الذي قال إلا تعوذا من القتل - فذكر قصته - فأقبل عليه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم تعرف المساءة في وجهه، ثم قال: " إن الله عز وجل أبى علي من قتل مؤمنا "، قالها ثلاث مرات
