Musnad Ahmad 447:2

Hadith of Wathila ibn al-Asqa (RA) "also repeated in the Meccan and Medinan [collections], except for some hadiths which I have established here, while the rest are in the Meccan and Medinan [collections]."

Hadith 447:2

Abu al-Mughirah narrated to us, he said: Hisham ibn al-Ghazi narrated to us, he said: Abu al-Nadr narrated to me, he said: Wathilah ibn al-Asqa' called me, and his eyesight had gone, and he said: "O Hayyan, lead me to Yazid ibn al-Aswad al-Jurashi" — then he mentioned the hadith — and he said: "Rejoice, for I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying about Allah, the Almighty and Majestic: 'I am as My servant expects of Me, so let him expect of Me whatever he wishes.'"
