Musnad Ahmad 447:3
Hadith of Wathila ibn al-Asqa (RA) "also repeated in the Meccan and Medinan [collections], except for some hadiths which I have established here, while the rest are in the Meccan and Medinan [collections]."
حديث واثلة بن الأسقع " معاد أيضا في المكيين والمدنيين (1) إلا أحاديث منها قد أثبتها هاهنا، وباقيها في المكيين والمدنيين "
Hadith 447:3
'Isam ibn Khalid and Abu al-Mughirah narrated to us, they said: Hariz ibn 'Uthman narrated to us, he said: I heard 'Abd al-Wahid ibn 'Abd Allah al-Nasri, he said: I heard Wathilah ibn al-Asqa' saying: The Prophet of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Indeed, among the greatest of fabrications is that a man should claim to be the son of someone other than his father, or that he should show his eyes in a dream what they did not see, or that he should say about the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, what he did not say."
حدثنا عصام بن خالد، وأبو المغيرة، قالا: حدثنا حريز بن عثمان، قال: سمعت عبد الواحد بن عبد الله النصري، قال: سمعت واثلة بن الأسقع، يقول: قال نبي الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " إن من أعظم الفرى أن يدعى الرجل إلى غير أبيه، أو يري عينيه في المنام ما لم تريا ، أو يقول: على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ما لم يقل "
