Musnad Ahmad 505:2

Muhammad ibn Yazid al-Wasiti narrated to us, al-Ifriqi narrated to us, from Ziyad ibn Nu'aym al-Hadrami, from Ziyad ibn al-Harith al-Suda'i, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Give the adhan, O brother of Suda'." He said: So I gave the adhan, and that was when the dawn had shone. He said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed wudu, he stood for the prayer, and Bilal wanted to perform the iqamah. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The brother of Suda' shall perform the iqamah, for whoever gives the adhan, he is the one who performs the iqamah."
