Hadith 810:2
'Abd al-Samad narrated to us, Hammam narrated to us, Qatadah narrated to us, from al-Hasan, from 'Abd Allah ibn 'Uthman al-Thaqafi, from a one-eyed man from Thaqif—Qatadah said: "It used to be said that he was Ma'ruf, if his name was not Zuhayr ibn 'Uthman, for I do not know what his name is"—that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The wedding feast on the first day is a right, on the second day it is a kindness, and on the third day it is showing off and hypocrisy."
حدثنا عبد الصمد، حدثنا همام، حدثنا قتادة، عن الحسن، عن عبد الله بن عثمان الثقفي، عن رجل أعور من ثقيف، قال قتادة: وكان يقال له: معروف إن لم يكن اسمه زهير بن عثمان، فلا أدري ما اسمه؟، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " الوليمة أول يوم حق، والثاني معروف، واليوم الثالث سمعة ورياء "
