Musnad Ahmad 332:2

Hajjaj narrated to us, he said: Layth—meaning Ibn Sa'd—narrated to us, he said: Yazid ibn Abi Habib narrated to me, from Bukayr ibn Abdullah ibn al-Ashajj, from Sulayman ibn Yasar, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Jabir ibn Abdullah, from Abu Burdah, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, used to say: "No one shall be lashed more than ten lashes, except in a prescribed punishment (hadd) from the prescribed punishments of Allah, the Almighty and Majestic."
