Hadith 1151:3
Safwan narrated to us, Yazid ibn Abi Ubayd narrated to us, from Umayr, the freed slave of Abi al-Lahm, who said: My master ordered me to cut meat into strips for him. He said: A poor person came, so I fed him from it. He said: He found out about me and hit me. He said: So I came to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and informed him. He said: "Why did you hit him?" He said: He fed my food without me ordering him to. He said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "The reward is between you both."
حدثنا صفوان، حدثنا يزيد بن أبي عبيد، عن عمير مولى آبي اللحم ، قال: أمرني مولاي أن أقدد له لحما، قال فجاء مسكين فأطعمته منه، قال: فعلم بي فضربني، قال: فأتيت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فأخبرته، فقال: " لم ضربته؟ " قال: أطعم طعامي من غير أن آمره. قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " الأجر بينكما "
