Tafsir of An-Najm 53:61

Al-Najm (The Star): (61) And you are sāmidūn (heedless/mocking)

And His saying, the Exalted: {And you are sāmidūn}

This means you are heedless (or heedlessly amused/mocking).

It is mentioned using the active participle (ism al-fā'il) because heedlessness is a continuous state, whereas laughter and amazement are transient matters that come into being and then cease.
