Sūrat al-Shuʿarāʾ

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

{Ṭā-Sīn-Mīm * These are the verses of the clear Book.}


Ash-Shu'ara: (1) Ṭā-Sīn-Mīm

{ Ṭā-Sīn-Mīm } It is read with the tafkhīm (full-mouth) of the alif, with its imālah (inclination), with the iẓhār (clear pronunciation) of the nūn, and with its idghām (assimilation).

{ The Clear Book } That which manifests its inimitability and the truth that it is from Allah. It refers to the Surah or the entire Qur’an. The meaning is: The verses of this composition, which is made up of these spread-out letters, are the verses of the Clear Book.
